United Nations Water Conference: Summary and Main Documents

Increasing world population and attempts to improve man’s living conditions mean provision of more water for a variety of purposes. Hence, if a world water crisis is to be averted by the end of the century, actions must be taken immediately. The United Nations Water Conference, held in 1977, discussed important policy-oriented questions, and recommended a world action plan. This volume is a summary of that conference.
