State of the Environment and Its Implications to Resource Policy Development

This paper presents a comprehensive review, in the broadest perspective, of the future problems facing the world, and points out the close interrelationships of the major problems of today—concerning population, food, energy, raw materials, and the constraints of outer limits. The need for integrated environmental management rather than incremental ad hoc planning is shown.
